Acne skin care in the summer

Shiny skin and excess sebum are common problems that worsen on hot days. This is not only a visual defect. Sebum is a breeding ground for bacteria, which hydrolyze the fats it contains into free fatty acids. These, in turn, are highly irritating and increase follicular keratosis. That is why regulating sebum secretion is an extremely important part of skin care. A-SERUM is a product designed for both salon treatments and home care. Azeloglycine is one of the two active ingredients in the product. It is a derivative of azelaic acid, which, as a 5-alpha steroid reductase inhibitor, inhibits the conversion of hydrotestosterone to dihydrotestosterone, thereby reducing local sebum production. The second active ingredient is niacinamide (vitamin B3), which also has a beneficial effect on the sebaceous glands. It is extremely gentle and strengthens the skin's barrier function.

Both active ingredients contained in A-SERUM are the perfect combination in the fight against discoloration, which unfortunately often accompanies acne problems. Azeloglycine is also an inhibitor of tyrosinase, an enzyme necessary for the conversion of tyrosine into melanin. It therefore inhibits the formation of the brown pigment melanin. It also evens out skin tone and smooths the skin. Niacinamide reduces the formation of discoloration through a different mechanism. It inhibits the transport of pigment from melanocytes, thus preventing the formation of visible spots. This two-way action, supported by preparations with UVA and UVB filters, makes it possible to avoid unwanted souvenirs from the summer.

To combat inflammation, we have used lactobionic acid, which is contained in L-MASK (professional use) and L-CREAM (home care). The word "acid" in the name of the ingredient is associated exclusively with preparations that cannot be used in the spring and summer, but in the case of lactobionic acid, there is no such restriction. Lactobionic acid accelerates healing, reduces inflammation and limits the formation of red post-inflammatory spots. At the same time, it inhibits the growth of bacteria. Lactobionic acid, in combination with trehalose, which is found in both preparations, perfectly maintains the proper moisture level of the epidermis, which is extremely important in the care of acne-prone skin.
